Ribbit! Ribbit!

Today they're frogs.

Ribbit! Ribbit!

Oh, I also have a video of Agastya singing Five Little Speckled Frogs.

There.

Things they like lately:
Watching Phineas and Ferb (both). Nagi encourages this because he loves the show.
Playing Lego (Agastya - will upload more pics of Lego creations in separate post)
Scribbling on papers (Lila). When she's done with one she'd say 'I did it!', then twirl the paper around the house saying 'Up up and away!'.

Lego boy

Agastya has been having fun with legos lately. He used to make only a looooong stack of tiny legos saying it's a gun, but now he's been better at it. He'd spend some quiet time doing it then show it to me saying "This is for you, mommy.".

A dinosaur.

The last pic is using my brand new camera! Yes, the husband came back from Korea with a camera. It's like my previous camera, but better. Canon Ixus 980 IS. 14 mega pixel, baby! Best of all, yes brace yourself - it's RED in colour! :D

Photobucket
My new baby.. I named it KIMCHI. Because it's spicy red and it's from Korea. :D This one better not die on me!

Mushroom

Agastya can read and write 'mushroom', and Lila can say 'muhroom'. I'm one happy mother hen.

Not on these pictures below, these were taken in August, I just didn't have time to upload then.

Btw on the 2nd pic, he wrote kiol (Kyle) and noono (Nuno).

My son the engineer part 2

Ok now this is what Agastya has been doing in America. Building their railway system, of course. ;)

The last picture - there were only those number of track pieces and he made use of them all (with my help this time! I'm getting better at building tracks too :D).

PS: I uploaded the pictures directly from my mobile to photobucket via gmail. Neat eh? ;) Although there was no way I could change the resolution like usual.

My son the engineer

Alert: Mother hen's proud moments. Look away if you don't want to read it. Shoo. I warned ya.

Agastya is soooooooo into building train tracks lately. We only have a limited number of track pieces but he's so creative even with just those pieces. He always makes sure the the end pieces joined together, and he always tried to make different ones. Trust me, I didn't help a bit. If I help it would look worse than this!

These are a couple of his designs:

Unfortunately, we really only have that number of pieces and one bridge (that red one), and he always make use of all the pieces we have. I should really buy some more. His track building skill is far superior than mine. Seriously, they may look easy to build, but I can't put the pieces back together if he asks me to. I'll end up with open tracks and he'll fix it.

He's been reading loads lately, and would point out signs on the street while we're in the car, or words written on TV, and read them. The writing part is also going along well. We're working on plus ones and plus twos. He's really doing well.

What is it?

[Keep reading, I will post the answer at the bottom of this post]

Lila has been copying everything Aga does, lately. When he drinks water from a tumbler, she would want to do the same. When he's writing on his writing pad, she'd search for a pencil and paper to scribble on. When he's building train tracks she'd sit in the middle of the whole thing and totally annoy him. When he started whispering to her (undoubtedly secret mission to occupy the toilet or something like that), she'd whisper words back to him. When he puts on his shoes, she'd take the shoes from the shoe racks and try to put them on herself, chanting "shoe.. shoe... le go (let's go)!" When he wakes her up in the morning she'd say "Aga, wha you doin?"

The down side about this period of time is that she's very suspicious to strangers and would cry easily in public.

The cutest thing Lila did today was when Aga said he had to go to toilet and ran upstairs. She started running behind him saying "Wait to me" (wait for me).

They're growing up so fast. I wish I could freeze time.

PS: The answer to my question above is 'a whale'. Does it look like one?

Christmas and New Year in USA

First off, Christmas. Santa was very generous to everybody this year, he sent so many gifts for the kids!

Photobucket

Look at those gifts!! Most of them were for Aga, Nina and Lila! A few for Ammu, Dylan and Pooja.

Agastya's favourite was the talking and dancing Lightning McQueen.

Look at how excited he was with all those gifts:

While Lila was more interested in the wrappers.

New Year means Agastya's birthday.
Photobucket

He's got two cakes. One for the afternoon and one for the evening. Because... he can. :D
Photobucket

In the evening we celebrated it at ChuckECheese's.

Lila posing. A lot.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Yes, she's definitely girly. She's already obsessed with shoes and boots and bags and stuff. *shudders*

I have loads more Lila posing pictures, so email me if you want to see them because there were so many and I'm lazy to put them all up :D

And this is for you people who thinks she doesn't look like me. She does. She really does. She looks like mommy! She even likes playing piano!

Photobucket

I'm uploading videos next. Maybe tomorrow.

PS: This photo update was a birthday request from Leo. I was so lazy to do it, then he mentioned it and I thought, well, why not. Happy birthday, Uncle Leo.

Another back log of photos (and video)

This backlog of photos was from the end bit of our USA trip (Aug 2008), to as recent as last week. No excuse for this, really, just pure laziness (can't find the USB cable).

There will be more videos - uploading videos takes ages, so I'll do them slowly.

The photos will be chronologically in order, or at least I try to.

Photobucket
This is Lila acting like a sophisticated lady. One leg up, of course.

Photobucket
See what I meant by sophisticated? ;)

Photobucket
I used to be so frustrated with her hair. Her bangs were too long! I ended up cutting them short. :D
