Oh, I also have a video of Agastya singing Five Little Speckled Frogs.
There.

Things they like lately: Watching Phineas and Ferb (both). Nagi encourages this because he loves the show. Playing Lego (Agastya - will upload more pics of Lego creations in separate post) Scribbling on papers (Lila). When she's done with one she'd say 'I did it!', then twirl the paper around the house saying 'Up up and away!'.
More videos from the park: [Sorry for the low quality videos. I've now up notched the setting in the phone camera. Let's hope we've rectified that problem for next time.]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-EuMqi0wqg - this is from today - Tosha blowing bubbles. (for the record, I could never do that!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtsNsJFZj6Y - Aga & Lila & the swing (from last time we went to the park)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5yktplWiB4 - Lila saying 'leaf' (from last time)
This backlog of photos was from the end bit of our USA trip (Aug 2008), to as recent as last week. No excuse for this, really, just pure laziness (can't find the USB cable).
There will be more videos - uploading videos takes ages, so I'll do them slowly.
The photos will be chronologically in order, or at least I try to.
This is Lila acting like a sophisticated lady. One leg up, of course.
See what I meant by sophisticated? ;)
I used to be so frustrated with her hair. Her bangs were too long! I ended up cutting them short. :D
Cheeky Boy

No one was cursing. I was merely trying to hold her hair so it doesn't go everywhere. It was a very windy day.
At Milton Country Park.
One of the attempts of saving bangs. Clips. Did not work.
Cute. But seriously, did not work. Only lasted 2 minutes each time. I dunno where they are now.
Necklace was made from coloured pasta tubes. Given by Tosha.
I forgot what the occasion was. In Parker's piece. Yes it was that long ago. Sometime in Sept. Oh I remember! Food festival!!
Bath time.. I have the videos of this, way at the bottom of this post.
Yes, they normally take their baths together. It's to save water, and energy. MY energy.
I'm trying out my brand new Lightning McQueen bike! With my brand new Lightning McQueen helmet!!!
I'm Lightning McQueen!!!!!!!!!
I dunno who or what Lightning McQueen is, but this helmet makes me look cute, I bet! I feel like I'm wearing a crown. Yes, like a Queen.
*Acting cute*
That's Tosha painting my face. I'm the Red Power Ranger, in case you don't get it.
I'm Red Power Ranger!!!!
This is at Sammy & Kyle's birthday party, at school.
I decided to make another video. This is what you can expect from them in an ordinary day. I do hope they both get along famously forever and ever like this. Forever.
Things I read recently:
Twilight (Stephenie Meyer) [Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, partial draft of Midnight Sun from Stephenie's website, a few extras and outtakes from Stephenie's website] I think almost everyone I know now knows I'm obsessed with Edward Cullen and anything Twilight. I can't wait to watch the movie.
A friend told me when she was reading Twilight, "Why did Edward tell Bella his 'condition'? Look at how decent Superman for example, he never told Louis Lane about his 'condition'. He kept her in the dark. Edward told Bella so easily, as if the secrecy was nothing to him."
I replied to her, that Superman and the likes are superheroes. They're the GOOD GUYS. Edward's case was different. He's sure that Bella's fate is doom if she's with him. He tried his best to stay away from her, and when that didn't work, he wanted her to consciously made the decision to keep herself away from him. He told her because he loved her. Part of him hoped that when she knew who he really was, she'd get shit scared and run away. Well, that didn't happen, obviously.
It's a brilliant love story, I love my 'superhero' to be perfect. Anything less I could get in real life. Edward is perfect. Part of me is somewhat reluctant to watch the movie, afraid that Robert Pattinson couldn't do justice to Edward.
My favourite quotes:
"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..."
"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick, masochistic lion."
"When I told you I didn't want you, it was the very blackest form of blasphemy."
"If I could dream at all, it would be about you. And I'm not ashamed of it."
"He called you pretty. - That's practically an insult, the way you look right now. You're much more than beautiful."
"I'll be back so soon you won't have time to miss me. Look after my heart - I've left it with you."
I know, I know. Mad aren't I? I don't even like romantic guys. But Edward is different. He's not a normal, human guy. I forgive him and give him the exception because he's now officially my favourite superhero. Well, not exactly fitting into a superhero category, but he's my favourite anyway.
I'm still reading Twilight now and again, although I've moved on slightly onto other books:
Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling) I'm a late reader. Not because I was sceptical about it, or anything. No, never. It was because I knew I'd get overexcited about it (not in a Twilight kind of way, though), and would bite my nails couldn't wait for the next book to arrive. I vowed to myself that I would never read a single book of Harry Potter until I get hold of the boxset. All 7 of them in a row.
Nagi bought me the boxset 2 weekends back, and I finished it in a week. I love the experience of reading them in a row. My favourite was book 7 (Deathly Hallows) and book 4 (Goblet of Fire). I thought book 6 (Half-blood Prince) is incomplete unlike the rest of them. Might as well call it "Deathly Hallows - book 1" for 6, and "Deathly Hallows - book 2", or something like that.
My favourite character is Hedwig. The owl, yes. I love the way she's so... possesive about Harry. She's like his girlfriend. A very loyal and jealous one.
My second favourite is Fred and George.
Then you know why I cried SO MUCH on book 7! I'm not saying anything more. But I think J.K. Rowling is brilliant and a talented writer. To come up with a saga like this, Oh-My-God. Harry Potter should be classified as classic. It's that good. Phenomenal.
The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini) Great book. Sad story. I found it difficult to keep track on the names, though, for some reason. Read the whole thing in one night.
The Time Traveller's Wife (Audrey Niffenegger) This is very interesting. Never read anything like this. I love the concept. It's real and unreal at the same time. Amazing love story. It reminds me that time is nothing, and everything, at the same time.
Ayat-ayat Cinta (Habiburrahman El-Shirazy) An Indonesian novel, with an Islamic theme. I love it. It got a bit too romantic at some points, too romantic to my liking (I cringe at the point where they exchange poems to one another). It has a good story though. I do hope men like Fahri (the main male character in this novel) do exist, for the benefit of women in the world, but not me. Definitely not me. I can't stand romantic men.
I found it difficult to imagine this novel turns into a movie though, because most of the conversations were supposed to be in Arabic (because the setting is in Egypt) although the novel's language is Indonesian. It's an Indonesian novel, so it's translated into Indonesian (obviously, I don't read Arabic). Now if it's a movie, then how am I supposed to digest that those Egyptians speak Indonesian? Unless the whole movie is in Arabic, with Indonesian subtitle, then it would make sense.
Ok, I'm going to read Twilight again now. I lost count of how many times I have read them. 8th time, I think.
Hohohoho.. While waiting for Youtube to finish uploading my video, I just checked the Polyvore blog, my set was featured in it!! *squeal in delight*
I blame Nagi, really, because he's the one who's been clicking pictures with his camera, and he hasn't uploaded them onto the computer!
Anyway, a lot of people (fans of my kids, obviously) have been asking me for photo updates, so these are the pictures I've taken using my mobile. Here they are:
That's Lila on a swing set, at a play ground next to the house.
That's Aga on his Lightning McQueen bike, it was new at the time when this photo was taken.
I'm giving a bonus video too. This is Aga on Rebecca's 4th birthday party last Saturday. He was having so much fun. I'm not sure who had more fun, Rebecca or Aga. haha.. I swear, he has no shame, that boy. He's the loudest and he put his hand up for everything!! All the way home and the whole day after the party, he kept talking about Mr. Marvel, the entertainer guy at the party.
I had to google for the lyric, because I can't make out some of the words he said. He learnt this in school for "grandparent's day".
Chorus: Oh Grandma, Grandpa, you know that I love you I love all those little things that you say and do A walk through the park, a trip to the zoo Oh Grandma, Grandpa I love you
Verse One: Going to a ball game, fishing on the lake Eating Grandma’s cookies, boy they sure taste great Going to the circus when it comes to town Eating cotton candy and laughing at the clowns
Chorus: Oh Grandma, Grandpa, you know that I love you I love all those little things that you say and do A hug and a kiss, a ride home from school Oh Grandma, Grandpa I love you
Verse Two: Spending time together, talking on the phone Happy birthday presents, chocolate ice cream cones Photographs and memories, picnics and parades Saying that you love me in so many ways
Chorus: Oh Grandma, Grandpa, you know that I love you I love all those little things that you say and do The stories you tell, things I never knew Oh Grandma, Grandpa I love you Oh Grandma, Grandpa I love you – I love you – I love you
Also, here's what everyone has been asking for: a video of Lila, WALKING. Like a robot, mind you!
We had a small birthday party for Lila on Saturday. It wasn't really a party, we just did it for the sake of having this delicious cake.
Aga dubbed this cake as "the most delicious cake ever". He said it over and over. His favourite was lemon cake, but this one he really really loved. It was, in fact, really yummy. I had two servings. It's vanilla and pecan cake.
I dressed her up with the Indian dress Visali had bought from India. I dressed Aga up in one of those as well.
The daddy doesn't have one. Otherwise we would have been in a band wagon.
We cut the cake at Visali's place.
The next day, we went to the Werribee Open Range Zoo. It was good fun. Aga saw hippos, a cheetah, lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and many more.
Now Lila's very much into climbing. Climbing onto anything. Like this one for example.
I've gotten bored of facebook, so I'm not going to upload photos there. Instead, I'm going to post it here with the aid of photobucket. I know I should have used the gallery, but it's buggy and I'm too lazy to fix it.
